City Administrator Resigns

City Administrator Todd Kilzer has resigned, effective March 9, 2017. He his full time duties will be covered by the current city clerk and planning and zoning administrator. His status continues as a city employee on paid administrative leave with employee benefits through March 9 of 2018. Kilzer has served Madrid for almost 23 years and has accumulated a significant amount of unused personal, vacation, and sick days, which factored into administrative leave agreement.

Administration duties are being covered by other city staff; Mary Jo Reese is now City Clerk, and Deborah Biegger is now Deputy City Clerk, and new hire Scott Church is helping as well. Options for filling administrative needs long term are being discussed.
